PURPOSE: A cancer apoptotic indication vector and a cancer apoptotic expression promoter are provided, thereby screening compounds selectively inducing the apoptosis of various cancer cells. CONSTITUTION: The cancer apoptotic indication vector comprises p53 DNA binding motif comprising the common DNA binding sequence of p53 having the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO: 1; a minimum promoter of thymine kinase gene of Herpes simplex virus at nucleotide position -81 to +52; and a detection marker bound to the promoter selected from luciferase, beta-galactosidase and green fluorescent protein, wherein the vector may further comprises a selection marker selected from zeosine, hygromycine and neomycin. The cancer apoptotic expression promoter hBubR1/hMad3 has the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO: 2.
