PURPOSE: A washing machine is provided to dry the laundry by bring the external air into contact with the laundry, in a dehydrating stroke. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine comprises an outer case(52) forming a laundry entrance/exit hole; a tub(60) supported to the inside of the outer case; a drum(70) rotatably arranged inside the tub; a motor(80) rotating the drum; and a door(90) rotatably mounted to the outer case. The door opens and shuts the laundry entrance/exit hole and the door forms air suction ports(92) to suck in the external air. The washing machine includes opening and shutting units for opening and shutting the air suction ports.
