PURPOSE: A system and a method for an electronic settlement using a mobile terminal are provided to perform a card settlement without holding a credit card, and prevent an illegal transaction due to the exposure of a credit card number by basically preventing the credit card number from being exposed to the third person on a settlement process. CONSTITUTION: A customer database(274) stores/manages customer information. A certification module(272) performs the certification for the mobile terminal by linking with the customer database. A certification code database(278) stores/manages a disposable certification code. A certification code generating module(276) generates the disposable certification code including the settlement information by responding to a certification code request signal of a user as linking with the certification code database. A settlement information generating module(279) decodes the disposable certification code by using a decoding algorithm in case that a decoding request is received from a banking server.
