The procedure is for manufacturing coverings especially for vehicle seats and involves three layers, the seat being compose of convex (2) and concave (3) zones. The external layer (4) has an outer covering, an internal layer (5) is of foam and an intermediate layer (6) comprises a film. The film layer adheres to the external and internal layers in concave zones (3) of the seat. The external and internal layers are separated from the film layer in convex zones (2).
