PURPOSE: A device for compensating the advance of a vane-type continuously variable valve timing device of a vehicle is provided to solve the problem of low retard speed without a harm to an engine and to improve the engine output in a non-operation region of a continuously variable valve timing device. CONSTITUTION: A vane housing(110) having an advance chamber(111) and a retard chamber(112) changes the phase of a camshaft depending on the difference of the oil pressures supplied to the advance chamber and the retard chamber. A stopper pin(106) of which locking pressure is predetermined sets a reference position in the state combined with the vane housing. A retard compensating unit(120) pushes a vane(102) out with the compensating force and compensates a retard speed when the stopper pin is released.
