PURPOSE: Structure of a stay of a catalytic converter is provided to prevent a crank position sensor from being damaged thermally, to remove the necessity of a thermal damage preventing part, and to reduce the cost for engine manufacture by isolating the heat of emission transferred to the crank position sensor. CONSTITUTION: Bolt holes are formed in the upper and lower sides of an engine-attaching face(31) to make the central face of a stay(30) bolt-connected to one side of a cylinder block. A bolt hole is formed on the end portion of a catalyst-attaching face(32) bent toward one face of the engine-attaching face and connected to one lower end of a catalytic converter. A heat sink(33) for isolating the radiant heat of the catalytic converter transferred to a crank position sensor is formed on the other side of the engine-attaching face.
