PURPOSE: A reflecting-type optical amplifying device for compensating dispersion is provided to prevent an influence of Rayleigh scattering generated from a DCF(Dispersion Compensating Filter) from being amplified by an optical amplifier, thereby realizing better transmission characteristics and maintaining benefits of an existing reflective amplifier. CONSTITUTION: An amplifier(32) amplifies an inputted optical signal, and transmits the amplified optical signal. A dispersion compensation portion(33) performs a dispersion compensating operation for the amplified optical signal, and transmits the compensated optical signal. A circulator(31) transmits the inputted optical signal to the amplifier(32), transmits the amplified optical signal to the dispersion compensation portion(33), and transmits the dispersion-compensated optical signal portion(33) to an output end.
