PURPOSE: A sword having a texture on the blade and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance the value of a sword by increasing the physical characteristics of a material and minimizing corrosion and scratch. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a sword having a texture on the blade comprises the steps of extruding carbon steel in a specific length, width and thickness, decreasing the width(W) and the thickness(T) of the sword by quenching the extruded carbon steel, firstly polishing an edge part(40a), a blade part(40b) and back part(40c) except an original texture face(40e) by forge-processing, secondly polishing the edge part, the blade part and the back part by using grind stone, thermally treating the secondly processed parts in high temperature water or mixture of grease and water, polishing the thermally processed parts by using one of micro-grind stone or sand paper, and assembling a grip with the tang of a body.
