Formatting a creative expression, e.g. greetings card, poster, label or other printed matter, for transmission to a client device 109. In one embodiment, a server (103, Fig. 1) comprises operating logic to generate a frameset definition file (1100a, Fig. 6A) in the server memory (126, Fig. 1) that specifies at least one hidden frame, i.e. that will not be generated by the browser (188, Fig. 1) for display to the user. The operating logic also generates a hidden frame file (1100c, Fig. 6c) in the memory, the hidden frame file specifying the at least one hidden frame that includes a page (263, Fig. 2H) that includes at least one region (266, Fig. 2H), wherein a content element is associated with the at least one region. The frameset definition file and the hidden frame file are transmitted to the client device. The hidden frame file is advantageously configured to cause a printing of the page with the content element in the appropriate region, by the client device 109, with little or no further input from the user. |
