The arrangement has a hollow body arranged in the pipe system (9) of the air conditioning system that is connected to at least one pressure pulse line (2) emanating from the compressor (7) and at least one pipeline (5) continuing on to the pressure sensor (8). The hollow body has a hollow chamber for expansion in order to smooth the pressure peaks arriving via the pulse lines. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) an air conditioning system with lifting piston compressors (b) and a method of damping and/or compensation of pressure pulses in gases in pipelines.
