The key (6) has a shaft (7) with a transponder (12) and an interference transponder (13). If the key is inserted into the lock channel (5) of the cylinder, the transponder (12) reaches a position directly opposite a code receiver (16) of the cylinder, so that signals can be polled from the transponder, without interference from the interference transponder. If signals are polled using a receiver station outside the lock cylinder, the transponder (12) and the interference transponder (13) produce respective signals, and the signal from the transponder (12) cannot be filtered out, or at least not easily. An Independent claim is included for a locking system.
