FLAT LAMP AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A flat lamp and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent a light emitting efficiency from deteriorating, thereby capable of lowering a discharge voltage. CONSTITUTION: The first front and back panels(50,60) are faced with each other, and sealed and adhered. A spacer(62) is equipped at a discharge space(64) between the first front and back panels(50,60). The spacer(62) maintains the first front and back panels(50,60) with a constant interval. The first front panel(50) is comprised of the first front glass substrate(50a) and the first front fluorescent layer(50b) coated at the reverse of the first front glass substrate(50a). The first front dielectric layer may be equipped between the first front glass substrate(50a) and the first front fluorescent layer(50b). The first back panel(60) is comprised of the first back glass substrate(60a), the first electrode group(66) arranged on the first back glass substrate(60a) with a stripe shape, the first back dielectric layer(60b) stacked on the first back glass substrate(60a) for covering the first electrode group(66) and the first back fluorescent layer(60c) coated on the first back dielectric layer(60b).
