TELEPHONE CONTROL-TYPE HOME APPLIANCE SYSTEM AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A telephone control-type home appliance system is provided to build a telephone line controlling module in an air conditioner, and to detect a ring signal received through the controlling module, then to enable the air conditioner to automatically perform communication if the ring signal rings more than a set frequency, thereby controlling plural home appliances through a telephone line. CONSTITUTION: A telephone controlling module(10) modulates a ring signal received through a telephone jack(P1) into a pulse signal in connection with the telephone jack(P1), outputs the pulse signal, and controls on/off operations of a hook in order to transmit/receive a signal to/from an air conditioner through the telephone jack(P1). A microcomputer(40) counts the modulated pulse signal. If the counted pulse signal is counted more than a reference frequency, the microcomputer(40) transmits a hook-on control signal to the telephone controlling module(10).
