PURPOSE: Structure of a heat protector for preventing thermal damage is provided to avoid the application of thermal stress on bolt holes and the breakage or thermal deformation of a heat protector by forming a thermal stress concentration part in a tunnel shape. CONSTITUTION: Bolt holes(11-13) for bolt-connection are formed in both upper ends and a central lower end of a heat protector(10). A thermal stress concentration part(14) for preventing the thermal damage of the bolt holes is prepared. The thermal stress concentration part is placed between the upper end bolt holes of the heat protector. The thermal stress concentration part protrudes in a specific height from the surface of the heat protector. The thermal stress concentration part forms a tunnel shape, and an end(15) of the thermal stress concentration part is extended to the center of the upper bolt holes. The heat of an exhaust manifold is concentrated on the thermal stress concentration part.
