The present discloses a hot-fillable blow-molded plastic recipient, with reinforced dome that controls dome distortion otherwise caused by associated forces with hot fill and transport; in a modality, the reinforced dome resist distortion and in a second modality the reinforced dome increases the ovalization distortion; the recipient dome is bell-shaped with a girdle extending inward and has a plurality of grooves which extend vertically, passing through the girdle; each groove is concave inwardly and extends from beneath the girdle up to an adjacent position to the nozzle; arched platforms are formed between the grooves and optionally can have panels with a texturized pattern that offer an esthetic appearance to the recipient and that provide additional rigidity to the dome; when employing two grooves, the ovalization distortion increases and when employing three or more grooves distortion 2 is prevented.
