PURPOSE: A shock absorbing device of a fog lamp for a vehicle is provided to prevent the pedestrian from being injured or the lamp from being broken by absorbing impact energy to the fog lamp gradually at a collision. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorbing device of a fog lamp is composed of a housing cover(32) installed outside a fog lamp housing(22), separated along the cutting line by external force, and divided into the upper part and the lower part; shock absorbing springs(34a,34b) compressed inside the housing cover according to deformation of the housing cover to absorb impact energy first; and a shock absorbing unit(36) compressed inside the housing cover according to deformation of the housing cover and expanded laterally to absorb impact. The shock absorbing unit absorbs impact energy secondarily by cutting the housing cover in expanding laterally over the reference value. The shock absorbing unit is formed of an air bag or foaming material expanding laterally in compressing.
