The invention concerns a method which consists in: inputting (through 102) the gases into an absorber (2), supplied (through 105) with a concentrated solution of hydrochloric acid, whereof the content is between 9 and 16 wt. %, preferably between 12 and 15 wt. %; directing towards the absorber (2) an amount of feed water, representing 6 to 15 wt. % of the input gases; returning (through 105) at least 99 % of the liquid output from the absorber, towards the input of said absorber; and regulating the purge (106) of the absorber, so that it contains a fraction ranging between 1 and 5 wt. % of the hydrochloric acid input into the absorber, as well as a fraction above 80 %, preferably above 90 %, of the ammonia input into the absorber.
