PURPOSE: A filter device for an oil control valve is provided to simultaneously filter and cool oil to be supplied to a CVVT(Continuously Variable Valve Timing) unit by forming a cooling housing in a filter. CONSTITUTION: A coolant supply passage is formed in a filter chamber to receive coolant from a coolant pump(141) of an engine. A coolant discharge passage(145) is formed to supply the coolant to a coolant gallery(147) correspondingly. A cooling housing is formed inside the filter chamber. A hollow coolant chamber is formed inside the cooling housing. Many oil cooling tubes are formed inside the coolant chamber. A coolant inlet and a coolant outlet are formed in the outer circumference of the cooling housing corresponding to a coolant inlet and a coolant outlet. A filter screen is installed in the cooling housing. An installing ring is installed in the other end of the filter screen. A combining bolt serves to install the filter screen in the filter chamber by fixing the filter screen through the installing ring. Thereby, the viscosity and the pressure of the oil are maintained in a fast operating area.
