PURPOSE: Provided is a novel phenylpyridine-iridium metal complex compound, for use in organic electroluminescence device, which shows practically acceptable light-emitting efficiency and excellent work life and stability. CONSTITUTION: The phenylpyridine-iridium metal complex compound is represented by formula 1, wherein each of R1, R2 and R3 independently represents a C1-C18 linear or branched alkyl group, a substituted or non-substituted C5-C18 aromatic group, a C5-C18 cycloalkyl group, or 5-membered to 18-membered aromatic heterocyclic group having at least one heteroatom selected from the group consisting of N, O and S; or two or more of R1, R2 and R3 are connected to each other to form a C5-C20 aliphatic ring, a C5-C20 aromatic ring, or 5-membered to 20-membered aromatic heterocyclic ring having at least one heteroatom selected from the group consisting of N, O and S.
