METHOD FOR PREVENTING ILLEGAL USE OF VCD IMAGE FILE

PURPOSE: A method for preventing an illegal use of a VCD(Virtual Compact Dick) image file is provided to prevent the VCD image file downloaded on the online from being duplicated/used by other computer. CONSTITUTION: When a VCD program is executed, a serial number of a user computer is temporarily stored in the VCD program(S12). The user computer connects to a server providing the VCD image file(S14). A user downloads the VCD image file to the user computer(S20). The serial number temporarily stored in the VCD program is stored in the download VCD image file(S22). In case that the playback of the VCD image file is selected, the serial number stored in the VCD program is compared with the serial number stored in the VCD image file(S26). In the case that both serial numbers are identical with each other, the read of the VCD image file through the VCD program is interrupted(S32).
