[Also in Division F2] A pallet, shown exploded in Fig. 1, comprises a wooden loading deck of several planks 4 attached to two or more sheet metal channel sections each with a bottom wall 1 spot welded to a sheet metal distance member with flanges 10 attached to a wooden base member 12. Fig. 4 shows how flanges 1<SP>11</SP> provided with arcuate tongues 2 struck out therefrom are attached to the planks 4, the distance member being similarly attached to the base member 12. Fig. 4 also shows a distance member comprising a cupshaped portion with a substantially cylindrical wall 8 tapering upwards and having a plane top portion 9 adapted to be spot-welded to a modified channel section with a cup-shaped depression having a substantially cylindrical wall 5<SP>1</SP> tapering downwards and ending in a plane bottom portion 6.
