PURPOSE: A rotation preventing device of a dehydrating tub of a direct drive washing machine in washing is provided to prevent noise in engaging a coupling with a coupling stopper and wrong operation from clearance between the coupling gear and the coupling stopper gear by restricting rotation of the dehydrating tub in rotating the pulsator for washing with using a unidirectional clutch and a brake band. CONSTITUTION: A rotation preventing device of a dehydrating tub comprises a coupling(15a) transmitting power from a BLDC(brushless direct current) motor to a washing shaft(4) or a dehydrating shaft(5) with moving up and down along the dehydrating shaft; a connector assembly(16) transmitting rotational force of a rotor to the washing shaft; a unidirectional clutch(90) restricting the coupling to restrict rotation of the dehydrating tub in rotating the pulsator counterclockwise in the washing mode, and releasing the coupling combined with the dehydrating shaft in rotating the dehydrating shaft clockwise in the dehydrating mode in moving down the coupling; and a brake band(70) installed in the upper part of the dehydrating shaft to restrict the dehydrating shaft in rotating the pulsator clockwise in the washing mode, and to release the dehydrating shaft in rotating counterclockwise in the dehydrating mode. |
