VALVE DRIVE SYSTEM AND VALVE DRIVE DEVICES OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, PROVIDING PROPER OPERATION CHARACTERISTIC ACCORDING TO OPERATION STATE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PURPOSE: A valve drive system and valve drive devices of an internal combustion engine are provided to enable efficient opening and shutting suction valves or exhaust valves by motors and to improve the degree of freedom about an operation characteristic of each valve. CONSTITUTION: A valve drive system of an internal combustion engine is applied to the internal combustion engine with plural cylinders, to drive suction or exhaust valves(4,5) installed to each cylinder. The valve drive system has plural valve drive devices(11A,11B) and a motor control unit(40). The valve drive devices drive valves of different cylinders of the internal combustion engine. The valve drive devices have electric motors(12) as driving sources for causing rotating motion and power transmission mechanisms converting and transmitting the rotating motion of the electric motor into the opening and shutting motion of the target valve to be driven. The motor control unit controls the operation of the electric motor of each valve drive device according to the operation state of the internal combustion engine.
