The anti-skid road surface consists of a galvanised steel or composition grid (1) with a mesh size e.g. of 30 x 40 mm and toothed projecting edges (7), laid over or let into the road and fixed by brackets to right-angled supports (2) anchored in the concrete by fixings (3) with seals (4). The mesh cells (5) are filled with a binding agent (6).
