The device has winches (3, 4) on which the sails (1, 2) of a ship are bent, where the winches moves the caps of self-tailing. The device frees the sails either by manual command devices, or at a distance using a telecommand or automatically by some manoeuvres. The telecommand is controlled with the help of a pick up/ release (5, 6) bound to a centre of an electronic navigation (7).
