SOLUTION: A water quality monitoring apparatus is provided with a waterproof outer shell, a power supply 1a (a solar cell 11a, a rechargeable battery 12a) in the outer shell, a water inlet provided in the outer shell for collecting water for quality measurement, a water quality measuring apparatus 2a (a MOD measuring instrument 21a, a COD measuring instrument 22a, an SS measuring instrument 23a, etc.) for measuring the quality of the water in the outer shell, a water outlet provided in the outer shell for draining water after quality measurement, a location measuring means 3a for measuring its own location and a wireless communication apparatus 4a for transmitting water quality data measured by the water quality measuring apparatus 2a and location data measured by the location measuring means 3a.
