PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To weld an end of a tape made of a thermoplastic synthetic resin. SOLUTION: A tape end processing machine is structured such that when the winding of the tape 41 around objects W to be bundled is completed, a tape melting device 101 at a retreat position moves toward a tape welding receiver 78 of a tape end holder 76 located at a first stop position 61 to weld the tape 41, and approximately at the same time, a tape pressing member 114 at the retreat position moves upward to press the tape 41 in the vicinity of the melted region. Thereafter, the tape end holder 76 (pin 58) moves toward a second stop position 62, and in addition a lower holding piece 81 opens immediately after the holder 76 begins to move.
