CENTER DEVICE AND ITS USING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a center device having high machining accuracy and automating machining for the side and both end faces of a workpiece as a series of operation and its using method. SOLUTION: This center device 40 includes: a center 20 provided with a first fitting part 21 at the base end and a center shaft 23 on the tip side; and a center holding member 30 provided with an engagement mechanism 33 removably engaged with a groove 22a formed on the center 20 and a second fitting part 31 at the base end.
