PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thimble which is easy to use, protecting user's finger by extending the rigid thimble up to the top of the top joint of a finger preventing the finger from being bent at the top joint. SOLUTION: The thimble is extended to the top joint to help the user maintain his finger almost straight at the top joint. The thimble is provided with a needle contact surface with one or more dimples between the tip and the area adjacent to or above the first joint of a finger, preventing the needle from slipping by means of the structure in which the finger cannot be bent at the top joint beyond 15 or 25 degree.
