PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching device with excellent operability, unnecessary to form a large opening for an operating key in a front panel. SOLUTION: The switching device is provided with an operating member 19 coupling an operating key 17 projecting toward the front side of a front panel with a key-holding lever 18, a holding plate 13a to which a mounting plate 18b of the key holding lever 18 is fitted by snapping with flexibility in a plate thickness direction and supporting the mounting plate in a free turning manner, a drive lever 20 rotated and driven by the operating member 19 at pressing operation, and a switching element 21 pressed and driven by the drive lever 20 at pressing operation. A reinforcing rib 11c set in protrusion for regulating the bending of the holding plate 13a is arranged on the rear face side of the front panel 11. Here, it is preferable that the holding plate 13a is a plate-shaped member having flexibility nearly in a horizontal direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
