FIELD: mechanical engineering; transport and technological modules. SUBSTANCE: proposed rack-and-gear drive includes intermediate members made in form of wedges, gear rack and unit consisting of shaft which is used for orthogonal motion of wedges in guides. Mounted helically on shaft along its axis are bushes; bushes are mounted at eccentricity relative to shaft axis and wedges are made in form of multi-tooth combs which are connected with connecting rod by means of flexible plate.
