METHOD OF MANUFACTURING COLOR FILTER, ELECTRO-OPTICAL DEVICE, ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT AND COLOR FILTER SUBSTRATE, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ELECTRO-OPTICAL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter substrate in which the manufacturing process is efficient and of low cost in a method of manufacturing a color filter by an ink jet method and the optical characteristic is excellent.

SOLUTION: A transflective color filter substrate has a transmissive type color filter part and a reflection type color filter part for a dot region. The area of a painted color filter coloring part is smaller than the area of a dot region on the tranflective color filter substrate, and a non-colored reflection region which reflects non-colored light having a high luminance among reflected light without receiving an influence of the color filter is formed by making use of a section layer. The pigment density of a coloring layer is so set that the color saturation at a transmissive display mode becomes optimum, thus a displayed image having a sufficient color saturation is available at the transmissive display mode.
