PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telecine apparatus using a CMOS sensor of a rolling shutter which obtains optical images on a movie film in a short time as digital image signals having high definition and high resolution like a photograph. SOLUTION: A film projector 1 irradiates a movie film 16 with light to form optical images in frames of the movie element 16. An imaging apparatus 2 having a rolling shutter function having two-dimensional imaging regions with more pixels than the pixels in a high-vision system images the optical image in each frame of the movie element 16 respectively, by divided imaging regions of the apparatus to output a plurality of high-vision image signals. Image recorders 3a-3d record a plurality of high-vision image signals outputted from the imaging apparatus 2, thereby obtaining image signals of higher resolution than that by a high-resolution line sensor in a short time.
