PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera module capable of positively adopting the technique of shading correction even in a lens incorporated camera module and correcting the fringe darkening by an arithmetic processing with an electronic circuit. SOLUTION: In the lens incorporated camera module, a lens, an image sensor and an image processing circuit are incorporated. The image processing circuit is provided with a correction means for correcting the light intensity corresponding to the pixel position of the image sensor by using a value for which a distance from the center axis of an optical system including the lens is squared for a correction value. A multiplier 9 constituting the correction means inputs the distance X from a horizontal center and calculates X2, and a multiplier 10 inputs the distance Y from a vertical center and calculates Y2. The calculated X2and Y2are inputted to an adder 11 and the square value R2of the distance from an optical axis is calculated. Then, a correction coefficient B1 is obtained by multiplying a coefficient A1 with R2in the multiplier 12 and the limb darkening is corrected by the correction coefficient B1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
