PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article takeout apparatus of an automatic vending machine enabling each article to be conveyed to an article takeout part without losing its attitude, while keeping the structure of the article takeout part from becoming complex. SOLUTION: When a lift is driven, a horizontal conveyor 120 accepting an article rises to the height position of the article takeout part 3 as it is guided by a lift guide rail part 137. Next, the horizontal conveyor 120 is driven to convey the article to the position of the article takeout part 3. Thereafter, when the lift is driven to move the horizontal conveyor 120 upwards, the horizontal conveyor 120 moves along an inclined guide rail part 138, with the top surface of the horizontal conveyor 120 tilted toward the article takeout part 3. Thus, the article resting on the top surface of the horizontal conveyor 120 glides toward the article takeout part 3 and is conveyed into the article takeout part 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
