PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sea surface status expression method by computer graphics which applies three-dimensional texture to expression of sea surface status and expresses the state of the sea surface more realistically. SOLUTION: The sea surface status expression method, which generates an image of waves occurred on a sea surface in real time by computer graphics, is characterized in that it creates the three-dimensional texture for sea surface by sequentially disposing two or more pieces of two-dimensional texture of sea surface, on which whitecaps are sequentially enhanced, to an altitude direction of a texture coordinate system, and associates a value of the coordinate of the altitude direction of the created three-dimensional texture for sea surface with each apex of the altitude of the sea surface of a sea surface polygon of a three-dimensional wave and attaches the three-dimensional texture for sea surface to the sea surface polygon.
