PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal fence forming apparatus capable of decreasing damages of a TFT substrate and a color filter substrate. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal fence forming apparatus 500, an assembly substrate 400 on which spacers 450 comprising a photo-curable substance are formed is disposed on a base body 100 and a light supplying unit 200 disposed away from the base body supplies light which cures the photo-curable substance toward the assembly substrate 400. An exposure mask unit 300 on which openings 320 for applying the light only to the spacers 450 on the assembly substrate 400 are formed is disposed on the pathway irradiated with the light. The light supplying unit 200 for supplying the light to the spacers 450 is provided with an infra-red ray filter 250 for filtering infra-red rays and a cooling unit 260 for cooling the infra-red ray filter.
