PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of manufacturing a large-sized≥1m<SP>2</SP>flat screen with a permissible error within a range of microns along a≥1m distance. SOLUTION: The apparatus is for manufacturing the large-sized flat screen (of≥1m<SP>2</SP>) used for television etc. This apparatus is equipped with a work table for arranging the screen and a fixed base which is fitted with a work turntable for forming a matrix of rows and columns determining pixels and is independently slidable, and the fixed base and work table are made of stones which has very stable molecular structures and every low coefficients of heat expansion, preferably, black African granite. A matrix having high resolution of within a range of≥1,500 pixels per mm<SP>2</SP>can be obtained by using serigraphy technology. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
