APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR VEHICLE SIMULATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for performing simulation of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This simulation system is provided with a vehicle simulator unit for providing a vehicle simulation environment and a remote simulation control means for generating a simulator control signal at a position remote also from a signal interface unit. The signal interface unit includes: a control signal input means for receiving a simulator control signal from the simulation control means; a signal conditioning means for conditioning the received control signal into a form compatible with the simulator unit; a control signal output means for outputting the conditioned simulator control signal; and an attachment means for detachably attaching the signal interface unit to the simulator unit such that the control signal output means interfaces with the signal input means of the simulator unit.
