PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip for an automobile capable of suppressing the manufacturing cost and draining the water having intruded inside the mounting base part easily outside the automobile body. SOLUTION: The ends of an extruded molding 14 consisting of the mounting base part 22, a seal part 26 and an outer lip 28 are connected together through a die molded part 12, and flange holding lips 24 are installed on the inner side faces 22a and 22b of the mounting base part 22, and die molding is made in the condition that the flange holding lip 24a situated outside the automobile body O more than a flange 7 and on the side with the end in the longitudinal direction of the extruded molding 14 is fallen to the side U mating with under the body and overlapped on the inner side face 22a of the mounting base part 22 of the molding 14. A draining hole 70 is formed at the bottom of the side wall 22a of the automobile body O among the side walls 22A and 22B of the mounting base part 22 installed on the die molded part 12, and a projection 71 protruding toward the body panel 6 is formed on the rear surface of an outer lip 73 on the side with the die molded part.
