PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a miter cutting process and a straight cutting process to the front and rear end sections of a band blade at need by folding the band blade left as long without cutting the band blade to be used as a Thomson blade to a given short length beforehand. SOLUTION: After folding the band blade 1 to a specified shape by a folding mechanism 7, the band blade 1 is fed forward, and then, the rear section of the folded region Z of the band blade 1 is cut off with a front side band blade cutting instrument 2, which is arranged in the front section of the folding mechanism 7.
