PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool replacement device for replaceably attaching and detaching a tool holder to and from the tip of a spindle in a machining center, reduced in abrasion between the tool holder 5 and a rotary abutting member 30 of a replacement arm 11 for removably holding the tool holder. SOLUTION: The rotary abutting member 30 is composed of a substantially cylindrical cover body 31; a slider 32 slidably fitted in the cover body 31; and a roller 34 rotatably journaled between a pair of upper and lower projecting pieces 33, 33 projected from the tip of the slider 32. The roller 34 is capable of rotating round the axis C of the rotary abutting member 30. When the replacement arm 11 is rocked to be close to and away from the tip of the spindle, the roller 34 is rolled to tightly fit in a locking groove 28 of the tool holder 5 and simultaneously pressed to abut thereon.
