PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and inexpensive method for monitoring the cooperation by a patient in a functional MRT experiment. SOLUTION: (a) According to a gradient echo sequence or a spin echo sequence, the functional magnetic resonance tomographic (MRT) measurement is made on the brain of the human being, (b) the image volume of a part or the whole of the brain is dynamically photographed, at least one image of each image volume intersects the range of one or both of the eyes, and (c) in order to determine whether the eyes of the patient are opened or closed, a temporal intensity signal lapse of the range of the eye is obtained from the photographed image.
