PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormality at the regions of the head and the neck in computer tomographic (CT) imaging. SOLUTION: A method for obtaining data includes a step of scanning at least either the region of the head or the region of the neck of a patient using a multi-energy computer tomographic (MECT) system 10 for collecting data. In this mode, the computer of the MECT is coupled to a radiation source and a radiation detector to receive the data on a first energy spectrum of scanning the head of the patient, receive the data on a second energy spectrum of scanning the head, and generate an image of at least one of cerebral blood volume and cerebral bloodstream of the patient.
