PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fracture a solid matter or toilet paper to fluidize them when defecating, and to save energy such as electricity when discharging water. SOLUTION: A toilet unit comprises a toilet unit body, a retention-water receiving part communicating with the body, a fracturing part for fracturing a defecated solid matter or the like in the receiving part, and a driving-force receiving part which houses a rotary shaft for supporting the fracturing part. The driving-force receiving part is provided with a water inlet for letting the water flow into the driving-force receiving part at a high speed, and a water outlet for letting the water flow out. The rotary shaft is rotated by the inflow of the water. The defecated solid matter or the like is fractured and fluidized inside the retention-water receiving part as the rotary shaft rotates. Then the water discharged from the water outlet is driven into the retention-water receiving part. The water discharged from a discharging outlet, which is provided at the retention-water receiving part to discharge the water in which the solid matter is fractured, is driven to a drain pipe, and is drained by means of siphonage.
