PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a shutout situation in the case of the closing of a door. SOLUTION: In a lock for the door, a latch cooperating with an operating lever for the latch and a latch spring urging the latch at all times in the projecting direction are incorporated into a latch frame section for a lock box, and a locking piece for the latch urged at all times by a spring so as to be engaged with the projected latch is installed to the lock box. The lock for the door, then, a thumb-turn top joint for locking the locking piece for the latch is mounted on the lock box, the lock for the door is related in engaging relationship respectively to a driving arm for the thumb-turn top joint and the rear end section of the operating lever and the rear end section of the locking piece for the latch and the lock for the door has a shutout preventive device for a thumb-turn lock composed of a release component for the locking piece disposed in the internal space of the lock box so as to be interlocked with the retreating movement of the latch.
