PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacking molding apparatus which forms a molded article in a stacked state by laser sintering and is equipped with a means capable of easily utilizing a base plate in a desired shape. SOLUTION: In the stacking molding apparatus, a base plate 32 in a desired shape is fixed at an optional position on a platform 30 by a general-purpose fixing means. The fixing means uses, for example, an adaptor plate, an electromagnet, or a depressurizing suction port. The fixing position is detected by taking a photograph of the base plate 32 with a camera 34 and comparing, in a calculation section 36, the photograph with the corresponding part of three-dimensional data of the molded article. The result of the comparison is transmitted to a driver 40 for driving to adjust a mirror 42. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
