PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for announcing the generation of low voltage in a portable terminal having an analog watch are provided to prevent the discharging of an analog watch and to announce the time of battery replacement. CONSTITUTION: An ADC(Analog-to-Digital Conversion) part(53) converts the voltage of the fist power supply part(61) into a digital signal and outputs an ADC code value. An alarm sound generation part(54) generates a low voltage alarm sound through an audio processing part in order to announce the replacement time of an analog watch(60) to the user when the ADC code value outputted through the ADC part(53) is less than an appointed level value. At this moment, a display part(30) displays a low voltage alarm message. An enable port(52) turns on or off the switch of a regulator(51) under the control of a control part(10). In case that the ADC code value outputted through the ADC part(53) is less than the appointed level value, the enable port(52) turns on the switch. If the switch is turned on, the regulator(51) supplies the voltage of the second power supply part(35) to the first power supply part(61).
