PURPOSE: A system for monitoring and searching a position of a path of a moving object is provided to monitor and analyze the movement of the moving object by utilizing a moving object database system. CONSTITUTION: A system for monitoring and searching a position of a path of a moving object includes a moving object database system, a data server(400), an OGC(Open GIS Consortium) data supply server, and a position application component. The moving object database system(100) stores and manages position information of a moving object. The data server(400) is used for storing and managing GIS data. The OGC data supply server(300) is used for extracting necessary map data from the data server(400) on the basis of an international standard of an OGC and transferring the map data to the position application component. The position application component(200) is used for searching the present position information and the past path information of the moving object, obtaining the map data from the data server(400) through a standard interface of the OGC data supply server, and displaying a present position and a past path on a map.
