PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for driving a two-dot inversion LCD are provided to compensate the charging capacity difference of pixel signals between odd-numbered horizontal lines and even-numbered horizontal lines due to parasitic capacitance between neighboring pixel electrodes by modulating a source output enable signal or a gate high-voltage. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for driving a two-dot inversion LCD includes an LCD panel, a gate driver, a data driver, and a timing control unit. The LCD panel(12) includes TFTs formed at intersections between gate lines and data lines and liquid crystal cells connected to TFTs. The gate driver(14) is used for supplying scan signals to the gate lines. The data driver(16) is used for converting input pixel data to analog pixel signals and supplying the analog pixel signals to the data lines. The timing control unit(18) generates control signals for controlling the gate driver and the data driver, modulates source output enable signals, and generates source output enable modulation signals.
